Accusations of corruption, conflicts, negotiations, forming alliances, and joint decision-making – these were just some elements of the exciting simulation game “Welcome to Krapowa.” During several workshops, participants took on the roles of residents of a fictional town facing various challenges. Through this experience, young people learned cooperation, responsibility, and how democratic processes work in practice.
From April 13 to 18, an exchange of 24 students from partner schools in Sandomierz and Emmendingen took place in Krzyżowa. It was a return visit – the participants already knew each other from a previous exchange – so the atmosphere was open and relaxed from the very beginning. The program focused on getting to know one another, working in international teams, and developing social skills.
Each day was filled with integration games and language activities that helped break down barriers and made communication easier. In addition to the workshops, there was also time for shared activities and excursions. For many participants, it was not only an engaging educational experience but also an opportunity to make new friends and gain a closer perspective on other cultures.
The meeting was co-financed by the Polish-German Youth Office (PNWM/DPJW).
