Dialogue in Challenging Times 2026

Networking Project: LIKHTAR / Ліхтар

A training project for Ukrainian teachers and youth workers based in Ukraine, Poland, and Germany.

The Krzyżowa Foundation for Mutual Understanding in Europe invites you to participate in an intensive, five-day development project. "Dialogue in Challenging Times" is a space designed to rebuild personal resources, deepen professional competencies, and establish lasting relationships with educators from three countries.

Project Goals

  • Soft Skills Development – Practicing Nonviolent Communication (NVC) and effective teamwork.

  • Personal Transformation – Recognizing self-worth as a source of inspiration and psychological resilience.

  • Professional Reflection – Gaining a new perspective on one’s work and strengthening internal foundations.

  • Sustainable Cooperation – Building a network of contacts and implementing best practices for supporting youth through international exchanges.

Who Can Apply?

We invite Ukrainian teachers and youth workers (working with young people) residing in Ukraine, Poland, or Germany. There are 10 spots available for participants from each country.

Participation Costs

Country Fee
Ukraine 100 PLN
Poland 200 PLN
Germany 70 EUR

The fee includes accommodation, full board, and the complete project program.

Single room supplement: 70 PLN / night.

Travel Reimbursement

  • Ukraine: Up to 800 PLN (round trip).

  • Germany: According to the PNWM (GJW) distance calculator (approx. 50% of costs).

  • Poland: Travel costs are not reimbursed.

Reimbursement applies to 2nd class public transport (train, bus). Air travel is not recommended.

Why Krzyżowa?

Krzyżowa is a place of exceptional history—the former site of the anti-Nazi resistance movement "Krzyżowa Circle" and the location of the 1989 Polish-German Mass of Reconciliation. It symbolizes the power of dialogue and the restoration of trust—values that lie at the heart of our project. In the peaceful atmosphere of Krzyżowa, we provide a safe space for collaborative work and mutual support.

Trainers

  • Olga Lychko-Parubocha – Psychologist, Gestalt psychotherapist candidate (Paris School of Gestalt). Coordinator of Friends Peace Teams Ukraine. International trainer for the "Power of Good" project and AVP (Alternatives to Violence Project) facilitator. NVC practitioner according to M. Rosenberg.

  • Yuliia Yavorska – Psychologist and member of the Ukrainian Association of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Specialist at the "Dzherelo" Social Services Center (Lviv) and psychologist at Dr. Tatiana Lakusta’s Clinic (Kyiv). Expert in Schema Therapy, CBT, Art Therapy, and ACT.
