Jan Pastwa

Born on May 23, 1962, in Gdynia.
A graduate in law from the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Gdańsk (1990), the National School of Public Administration (1994), and the Executive MBA postgraduate studies at the International Management Center of the Faculty of Management at the University of Warsaw (2017). Civil service officer.
General counsel in the Department of International Affairs of the Ministry of National Education.
From 1994 to 1996, he was the Director of the Voivodeship Office in Gdańsk, and in 1997, the Head of the District Office in Gdynia.
From 1997 to 2006, he served as the Head of the Civil Service. Between 2007 and 2012, he was the Ambassador of the Republic of Poland to the Czech Republic. From 2012 to 2016, he was the Director of the National School of Public Administration.
In 2000, he was nominated for the Andrzej Bączkowski Award. In 2012, he was awarded the Knight's Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta.
