Ole Jantschek is the managing director and director responsible for pedagogical affairs at Evangelische Trägergruppe für gesellschaftspolitische Jugendbildung (et) (English: Group of evangelical bodies for the social and civic education of young people) and deputy secretary general at Evangelische Akademien in Deutschland (EAD) (English: Evangelical Academies in Germany).

He specialises in education for democracy which takes into account social diversity, as well as in civic media and European citizenship education. He runs projects and seminars, creates innovative formats and advises organisations. He is also a member of the editorial team of Journal für politische Bildung (English: Journal of Civic Education).He visited Krzyżowa for the first time in 2004. In the years 2009–2020, he served on the board of the Kreisau-Imitative Association on a voluntary basis, including more than ten years as chairman. While holding this position, he was involved in the establishment of the Freya von Moltke Foundation for Krzyżowa and the chamber music festival - Krzyżowa - Music.

Since 2017 he has been deputy chairman of the Council of the Krzyżowa Foundation for Mutual Understanding in Europe.
