The Krzyzowa Foundation invites young musicians from Poland, Germany and Ukraine to participate in the Polish-Ukrainian-German Youth Orchestra "Music For Future".

participants: 25 people from Poland, 15 people from Germany, 20 people from Ukraine, aged 15-26 years old

 

Orchestra:

Students from music schools and academies from Poland and Germany as well as Ukraine are invited to participate. The orchestra will be performed with a full symphonic line-up. We are keen that each participant should be able to experience the learning process and the unique integration offered by playing in an international orchestra, to meet peers with the same passions who come from another country. At the same time, we care about motivated students who are ready to work consistently on the artistic programme.

Profile of participant(s):

  • young and motivated symphonic musicians aged 15-26,
  • open to international cooperation, communicative in English,
  • coming from Poland, Germany and Ukraine (you do not need to be a citizen of the respective country!)

Recruitment steps:

  • Participants fill in a form in which they have to submit two videos, each 3 minutes long, including one fast-paced piece of music
  • deadline for application 29.02.2024
  • Selection of participants - selected participants will be informed by email by 05.03.2024 participants will be selected on the basis of the videos, by a committee consisting of the project coordinator, conductor and artistic director.
  • Selected participants will send a signed (by themselves or their legal guardians) declaration of participation in the project by 15.03.2024.

  • Rafał Zambrzycki - concertmaster of the Polish Radio National Symphony Orchestra (violin)
  • Alexey Stadler - professor at the Universities of Weimar and Hamburg (cello)
  • Zofia Kowalczyk - soloist, leader of the viola section of the Sudecka Philharmonic Orchestra, musician with the Mannheimer Philharmoniker (viola)
  • Maciej Baranowski - solo French horn HR Sinfonieorchester (french horn)

  • Gabriel Fauré – Pavane, Op. 50
  • Terry Riley: In C
  • Edward Elgar - Enigma Variations, Op.36: IX. (Nimrod)
  • Gustav Holst - The Planets - Jupiter, the Bringer of Jollity

Extra info:

  • Participation in the project will require an entry fee of PLN 500 per person payable upon qualification. Participants with difficulties in paying the fee will have their costs waived.
  • Accommodation, meals, sightseeing, workshops are covered by project funds.
