The project "JustNow - A Toolbox for Teaching Human Rights" is a strategic partnership in the development of methodological-didactic materials relating to human rights education in non-formal and formal youth education work.

Launched in 2017, "JustNow" is a result of cooperation between Kreisau-Initiative e.V.

(Germany), Krzyzowa Foundation for Mutual Understanding in Europe (Poland), International Association for Intercultural Education (the Netherlands) and the Croatian Education and Development Network for the Evolution of Communication - HERMES (Croatia). Inspired by the long-lasting international youth project Model International Criminal Court (www.model-icc.org), the "JustNow" educational materials allow teachers and youth workers to raise students' awareness of various human rights and international criminal law issues of contemporary relevance.

The online teaching platform contains multiple activity plans that can be used to implement activities in non-formal educational workshops and in the classroom, short animated films and timeline card sets on various human rights-related topics. In the project's first iteration, multiplier events brought together 200+ participants from 25 European and MENA region countries. The educational materials were watched, downloaded and applied in 106 countries, reaching over 100 000 beneficiaries worldwide.

The "JustNow - A Toolbox for Teaching Human Rights: Blended-Learning Edition"

(JustNow 2.0) seeks to adapt the existing teaching materials for implementation in the online context, along with creating new educational materials dealing with (historical) human rights issues and contemporary challenges and dilemmas.
