Spring means that there is more and more going on outside at the Foundation, and everyone would most like to be outside enjoying the sunshine. And just this week there were several opportunities to do so.

On Earth Day, our Polish-Ukrainian preschool group took part in a neighborhood clean-up campaign. The children and their teachers made sure that no trash was left on the nearby hill. During the walk, the youngest delighted in nature, which enchants everyone with its beauty in its May appearance.

In spring, all our surroundings bloom, including the ecological educational garden. Work related to the maintenance of the garden is regularly carried out by the Foundation's employees, and last week, our guests from Ukraine also joined in. It was a good opportunity to get to know each other better and to take our minds off our worries and problems.

Our guests from Ukraine continue intensive learning of Polish (two-hour lessons 4 times a week) and take on new challenges related to their stay in Poland. We support them in all formalities and invariably provide all the most necessary things. Thanks to the support of our donors and the commitment of our team, our guests have stability in terms of location and conditions of their residency.

Every week, more and more is happening in Krzyżowa and we are very pleased that the youth groups coming to our projects are so eager to integrate with their peers from Ukraine. A good opportunity to make new acquaintances are e.g. games played together or bonfires.

In the near future we have planned an event, which is not only addressed to families living in our place, but also to all people from Ukraine, who are staying in the region. On 14 May we are organising a free guided tour in Ukrainian through the historical grounds of the Krzyżowa Foundation. All information about this event can be found on our website and on Facebook.

There are almost 100 people from Ukraine in our centre permanently. We provide safe shelter for families fleeing war for the time when they cannot return to their homes. The needs to organise such assistance are enormous. Therefore, we continue to ask for your support, which will allow us to continue our activities and provide assistance to refugees and women from Ukraine.

We would like to remind you that together with our partners from Germany: Kreisau-Initiative e. V. and Freya von Moltke Foundation for Krzyżowa - as well as the team of International Chamber Music Festival Krzyżowa-Music, we are collecting donations for Ukrainian refugees in Krzyżowa.
